Hotel Workout Ideas

If you have dumbbells available in your hotel gym try this one out.  It will take around 30 to 45 minutes to complete.

Repeat Four times:

Exercise 1: Bent Over Dumbbell Row – Use weight where 10 to 15 reps is a challenge for you.

Exercise 2: Dumbbell Squat to Bicep Curl – Use weight where 10 to 15 reps of bicep curls is a challenge for you.

Exercise 3: Dumbbell Bench or floor chest press. – Use weight where 10 to 15 reps of bicep curls is a challenge for you.

Exercise 4: 15 Tricep Push-ups

Exercise 5: 100 Mountain Climbers

Exercise 6: Five minutes of Cardio on any available cardio machine

Download a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) timer on your mobile device.

Set the HIIT timer up for 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of recovery for 8 rounds.

(This is what mine looks like)

You will do 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest.  The 20 seconds of work is high intensity so be sure you are warmed up before you get started.  The 10 seconds of rest should be used for intentional recovery working towards getting the heart rate down.  Do each listed exercise for 8 rounds then move on to the next exercise for the 8 full rounds.

Exercise 1. Jump Squats

Exercise 2: Clean and presses with barbell or alternate arms with dumbbells for each 20 second round giving you 4 rounds on each arm.

Exercise 2: Squat Thrusts

Exercise 3: Plank Holds

Exercise 4: High Knees

Exercise 5: Bicycle Crunches

Exercise 6: Jump Rope, or faux jump rope

Exercise 7: V-sit

Exercise 8: Burpees

 

No Gym In The Hotel? Use the Stairs!

Walk up one flight of stairs, then back down one flight of stairs.

Repeat 3 times.  Jump up steps one at a time for one flight then jog back down.

Repeat 6 to 10 times. Jog up one one flight of stairs, then jog back down one flight of stairs, do 10 squats, 20 wall push-ups.

In hotel room: Repeat 6 times.  30 second plank hold followed by 30 bicycle crunches.
